Algeria leads Group3 in Worldcup Qualifications
With a difficult, but deserved, victory over Zambia, Algeria is on top of Group 3 of Worldcup Qualifications in African Zone and reach 10 points leaving Egypt second with 7 points, Zambians third with 4 points, and Rwanda with a single point after four games for each team.
Algeria is now on a good position to get the ticket for South Africa next year before two remaining games for each team of the group. On October 10, Zambia will host Egypt in a difficult game which can give the ticket to the Desert Warriors the next day if they beat Rwanda and if Egypt fail to make a victory over the Zambians. The last games for this group will be played on November 14th, where Algeria is going to play against Egypt in Cairo for a fantastic game if Egypt get the 3 points from Zambia.
Algeria victory over Zambia was difficult when rafik Saifi (Al-Khor, Qatar) scored the goal of the match after a nice cross from Karim Matmour. The game was dominated by the Algerians with a lot of aggressivity from the Zambian side. This single goal put Algeria in a good stading in Group 3 amd increases their chances for a third time qualification to the world cup which will be held for the first time in Africa.
