Algeria is leading Group 3 of the African zone after 3 games (6 games are to be played) with seven points, followed by Zambia and Egypt with 4 points. Rwanda comes later with a single point from 3 games. Algeria has big chances to qualify as it will host both Zambia and Rwanda in Algeria (at Blida's Mustapha Tchaker stadium or July 5th stadium in Algiers), before traveling to Cairo to face Egypt in the last game of the group next November.
In the same group, Egypt will face Rwanda in Kigali next saturday 5 spetember 2009 at 13h30 GMT while Algeria will host Zambia on sunday 6 september at 21h00. With a win over the Chilopolopo next Sunday and a draw or lose of Egypt against Rwanda, a victory against Rwanda next month in Algeria will officially qualify the Desrt Warriors to the Mondial to be held for the first time in Africa.
